Hi friend’s today’s topic and article is interesting because its related to the Archaeology and🤔 hmmm😊 slightly it’s my related because as an archaeologist and for my friends you should know about the Armenian language related amazing facts. So Friend’s lets start Okay firstly here, I’m explaining and classified and in fourth ways okays…. The Armenian language is classified as an Indo-European language, its placement within the broader Indo-European language family is a matter of debate. Until fairly recently, scholars believed Armenian to be most closely related to Greek and Ancient Macedonian. Armenians are an ethnic group native to the Armenian Highlands of Western Asia. It’s just few words introductory part. But today about the Armenian language related to know about four amazing facts and origins of the language are a little obscure [ will updating] as it is considered one of the ancient languages. Okay friends…..
Firstly, we need to know about punctuation mean the Armenian language has different punctuation and the language has completely different punctuation marks that Western language. The full stop, or period, in Armenian looks like a colon in English “:”, and the question mark is a curvy line placed not at the end of the sentence, but above the word in question. Means Hi friend How are you? would be Բարեւ ընկերներ Inčʿpe?s es. The semicolon in Armenian is the full stop we use in English, and it also has a special punctuation mark “՟” to identify abbreviated words.
Secondly to know about the alphabet You know friends the alphabet consists of 36 original letters and three more were added in the twelve centuries to accommodate foreign words and those words or letters were “և; օ; ֆ”, and it should be noted that in reality two letters were also added as “և” stands for “and” in English. Therefore, there are 31 consonants and 7 vowels. Locals call their language “Hayots Grer” before its creation, the nation used the languages of those countries which ruled Armenia in the past.
Thirdly to know about the Armenian alphabet serves as a decorative piece in number of homes and people are proud of their script that they consider it’s a cultural treasure [ I think should be ] and have it framed and also hang it in the room and they are decorated with Jewelled images made of of trchnakir and letters made out of drawn bird shapes or gold and celebrate the legacy of Mashtots.
Fourthly to know about it is among the family of Indo-European languages and even though the language is part of Indo-European languages it forms its own separate division within the group and its part of or similar to the Georgian Language it doesn’t have any close relations to any other language not in this particular group or any other.
