The Group of Fifteen has established a business investment forum and a committee on investment trade and technology to facilitate interaction between the private and public sectors and between the business communities of member-countries. The summit of heads of state and government is organized biennially, with the venue being rotated among the three developing regions of the the Group of Fifteen membership and annual meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs generally take place one a year to coordinate group activities and to prepare for the next of the Group of Fifteen leaders. A steering committee is composed of three foreign ministers one from the preceding summit host country one from to present host country and one from the anticipated next host country and each member country is represented by Personal Representatives of who meet regularly in Geneva and actively promoted. And more equitable economic order and one of its major concerns is to brigade the growing disparities between the north and south at various international and the developed countries to be sensitive to the needs and interests of the development countries while adopting macro-economic polices and the member countries have sought the reform of major international financial and trade institutions so as to allow maximum benefits for the less developed countries and integrate the developing countries with the world economy.

For south cooperation members have taken steps to increase inter dependency in areas such as trade transport exchange of information of information and technology technical expertise and infrastructural development and in general to reduce their dependence on the North combating poverty and unemployment is another major area of cooperation for the group fifteen and has also launched a wide range of economic and technical cooperation projects each project is coordinated and funded by the initiating country and established in field such as environment, technology education trade and investment and open to participation by all developing countries and supported by a network of national focal points.

The main objects of the Group of Fifteen are to harness the considerable potential for greater and mutually beneficial cooperation among developing countries and the impact of the world economic situation and the state of international relation on developing countries serve as a forum for regular consultations among developing countries with a view to coordinating policies and actions identify and implement new and concrete schemes for south cooperation and wider support and pursue a more positive and productive north-south conversation between and find new ways of dealing with problems in a cooperative constructive and mutually supportive manner. The Group of Fifteen – Algeria, Argentina, Brazil ,Chile, Egupt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Kenya Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Senegal, Sri lanka, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

The Group of Fifteen summit was held in Malaysia in 1990 and Kenya was admitted as the 16th member at the Kuala Lumpur summit in 1997 and Iran and Colombia in 2000. In the period of 1996 eleven members of the group were among the fifty top exporters and importers in the world and collectively these countries accounted for ten percent of the worlds merchandise exports ten percent of the worlds imports and population size of one point eight billion almost thirty percent of global population.
